there are no good guys, WW2 happened because the end of WW1 wasn't handled properly and WW3 is going to happen because the Soviet Union imploding wasn't handled properly.

in the timeline where Gavrilo Princip didn't shoot Franz Ferdinand is a timeline where we have colonized mars for a decade+ by now.

Franz Ferdinand’s assassination is a time locked event.

Time travellers stopped the bombing designed to kill him but he ended up by chance at the same cafe as his would-be assassin, resulting in him getting killed anyway, undoing the hardwork of the timetravellers.

No matter what precautions are taken he will be assassinated and trigger the wars.
