We will either get astute political arguments or dumb drama and I am a fan of both. Drama in any form is like the junk food of information, bad for you, but fun in short bursts

So much of western culture and civilization is related to the content of the bible that you're kind of a drooling ignoramus if you go around opining on anything without knowing what's in it.

I'm not religious, but that book got people to build gothic cathedrals and chapels, which are some of the most amazing works of human artistic expression and beauty ever created.

Modern architecture is hideous by comparison, and even modern churches look like dentist offices.

Many atheists, because they deride religion, are totally ignorant of what's in the actual books, so they see the three abrahamic faiths as being more or less the same thing. They view Islam as a religion of the put-upon and downtrodden though, so they have to defend it to satisfy their do-gooderism quota for the day.
