"Chauvin will get off on appeal" is the new "Trump is the real president and will be sworn in on March 4th".

Chuds in shambles. Looking forward to the Rittenhouse weasel getting locked up next.

He wasn't charged with that kind of murder. The murder 2 charge was felony murder -- not that he intended to kill, but that he caused the death while committing a felony assault. The murder 3 charge also wasn't that he intended to kill -- but rather that he caused Floyd's death with an act that was highly likely to cause a death, and was consciously indifferent to that outcome.
which brings you to an interesting point in your edification of the legal system. Why wasn't Mohamad Noor nor the more recent Kim Potter charged with "unintentional" second degree murder?

I don't recall Noor. Minnesota 2nd degree murder is when you kill someone while you commit a felony; for Chauvin that was felony assault, I don't see what it would be for Potter.

Uhh, they were charged for the exact same underlying felonies, second degree manslaughter. i don't even know where are you getting this "felony assault"? Are you just copying and pasting shit from reddit/twitter/etc.?

I'm getting it from the Chauvin jury instructions. Go to page 5. For definition of 2nd degree murder see the section "Definition". For the relevance of felony assault see section "Elements", subsection "Third Element".
