It's hard to think forum questers, and RnF in particular, do not want a merge.

They merge. # of 50s doubles. Economy goes haywire for a few. People get frustrated, move to blue again. Kunark drops. MBlake, Valeriya, Nirgon start their “Blue cuck” bs again. 2k on at peaks; people call for split. Rinse, wash, repeat.

Guild loyalty will mean little when one side offers the other's clerics free gear to switch sides. Once one side has few support roles the rest of the guild will jump ship or push for a merge.
