Dear Diary: Today was really good overall.

Had a most glorious beach walk for a couple of hours (despite strong winds and mist). Saw a single "cyclone" of 50+ seagulls flying in a long whirlwind type pattern not going anywhere particularly fast. I had a difficult time keeping my eyes open at times or not wincing on the right side of my face.

The prize is always worth the fight!
