Old world I'd have to say Castle Mistmoore and Cazic Thule. Although upper and lower guk and crushbone deserve honorable mentions. I'd also like to mention that EC will always have. That nostalgic feel because I used to cut thru a golf course on my way to school everyday and it always reminded me of ec, especially on foggy mornings

I love Steamfont. Extremely underrated zone. It's better for lower level characters than GFay and has content that supports a very wide level range. You could get to level 14 in Steamfont and then go back at 24 and level all the way into your 50's, if you wanted to.

For the past couple days I've been hunting in Steamfont and handing out money and equipment to lower level characters (that actually help me by selling it so that I can devote all of my time to killing and yet still benefit from part of the profits of the dropped items). That kind of synergetic interaction between players is part of what Everquest was built around. I love how the player population, and continual additions of new players to the server, is such that I can actually go to Steamfont see a good amount of low level people running around. I've specifically been telling some lowbies in Gfay to come over to the greener pastures of Steamfont, even.
This is very true. When lfay sisters are camped, you can make great coin killing the minotaur slavers near the mines. They're all single-pulls as well.

Aside from the zone containing great exp/cash content for a wide level range (having vendors all around the zone is part of why it's good for making cash), it's so well designed and varied too. There are gnomes, kobolds, harpies, drakes, minotaurs, clockworks, elementals, casters, and a smattering of undead. There are peaks and vallies all over. The windmills are some of the most attractive looking structures in the entire game. The golden Dragon skeleton ruin is striking. The giant gears in the northeast corner of the zone are fun. The entrance valley to Akanon, with its mechanical look, is cool. Those mechanical touches throughout the zone contrast very well with how remote the zone actually is, and the amount of green coloring in the zone, creating a very unique dynamic.

I used to love unrest in classic, but not on P99.. It's always really crowded and there seems to be more trains. CT is nice, no one is ever there.

Classic: North Qeynos. I could sit there listening to that music for days and be content. Bountiful hunting that can take you as high as level 5 if you're diligent enough, fast respawns, and FIPPY! <3

Kunark: Karnor's. It's not overly special, but I like the idea of storming through a castle with a group to see what treasures we could find.

Velious: Tower of Frozen Shadows. I mean, sure it was a PITA if you died on the upper floors and you needed to get the keys to go back up, but it was a cool zone and, IIRC (been a looooooong time) it had a neat story to go with it.

Could you ever make it to the top floor? 0.o

Mistmoore and LGuk are prob my fav's for classic. Then Seb and HS for Kunark.

As far as raiding love it all. Best times were prob in Hate and Sky.

Fav story/moment was raiding sky and backing up to camp (/q) when we were wiping and ended up falling off. Only to see a msg as I was falling to freeport "you will not escape me" and being summoned back up and killed. LOL

LOL, what?

Unrest used to have 50+ (number, not level) people in it and was absolutely notorious for its trains. The times I've been to it on P99 (also just asked someone in-game before I stopped playing for the day), there have always been less than 20.

Cazic-Thule makes me sad now, total ghost town. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Do you solo there? I can't imagine wanting to be in that zone without a group, unless it's to pick up a quest item.
