My ipad has 2000-3000 books on it. Whether you believe i paid for any of said books is up to you =)

I do buy some books that i really like.
It might just be semantics, but my point was that you don't really pirate books, you pirate e-books. When the Kindle came out years ago everyone thought it would kill off paper book stores, and yet they're still around even today precisely because lots of people believe books > e-books.

To me, if you want a true book experience you can't pirate it ... well unless you go to some third world country that actually prints pirate copies.

It's kind of a douchy thing to pirate books. Books aren't like movies or computer games. Many to most authors barely scrape by on what they make. The GRRMs and Rowlings of the world are few and far between. If people don't buy their books, they can't afford to write, and we end up with less books to read.

This is a really nerdy way to take this convo, but I guess I am in the right place, I used to see a lot of photocopied warhammer and DnD books.
