i was p much the first red server player to join tmo when they came to red, and i was p much consistently the highest attendance raider in the guild from start to finish, so i can give you an informed opinion on why you're wrong.
there's a lot of history between tmo's leadership and empire which i'm not gonna bother going into, but empire actually helped them out a lot in the beginning & several of their players came over to help tmo. some of the first red server players to even take that tag. when velious release became imminent a select few people in tmo talked way too big on the forums and empire promptly put the foot down for maybe 2 days on velious release. they were a brutal 2 days and a lot of people quit, but that's it. after that they pretty much left us alone, left raid targets up, let us coexist in tov, etc. if we ran into them, yeah they'd pvp us, but it often ended with rez's and even sometimes help with our raids (especially in zones where empire players may want to faction)
it was the other guilds on the server that griefed tmo off the box w/ training, casting on npc's with oor characters, oor training, deleveling characters, spying on teamspeak, relaying teamspeak into another server, things like that. and also the whole guild was basically being ran by 1 guy since velious i dunno how he even did it (praise dd)
