I considered it once, despite my intense dislike of pvp in games like this. When I looked at the player list and saw 99% were anon, I couldn't help thinking "this is entirely goofy" and logged back out.

But hey, if that's where you find more fun, more power to you! Maybe I'll try it again sometime and see if I can stand the goofiness long enough to play for a bit.

Nah red can be fun for sure if you play for what it is. Solo and group can be fun with the different elements. Large scale raids just have far less competition than blue. But that doesn't mean it's less fun, just a little ezserver like.

That's a classic EQ PvP thing, if you displayed your level, say 45 you're not only advertising your pvp range (41-49) but probably got anyone who's 48-49 looking for you and they know what zone you're in [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I was richer on red a couple of years back wormed, I dropped a lot of plat helping out new starters but that's a money sink as not everyone stays. Nowadays I still do some work "at cost" which is more sensible because...

1. It's much cheaper, helps new starters to keep saving...and I don't go bankrupt in the process.

2. It shows that you want to be there because you've grinded out some plat/levels.


PvP is really fun, having a great time... let the mads like Kushie keep transferring their blue or RL anger issues on me, I don't mind. I'm in a better place now.

There's nothing competitive about variance bat phone races and first to engage, nor being on a rotation

Red has.more to do than stand in lines and is the same love that blue has. It's a no brianer.
