Aww man, the sad part is I just explained the conning system to my GF last night(she never played classic). While I played from 2001-2007, I still press "c". She fumbles with the controls from time to time and I finally had her working with the con system. This doesn't break the game but it'll probably break it to her. It's difficulty for the sake of being difficult. If target color is insignificant then why go through the trouble to break it?

Go into User CP and edit options on the left side. one of the options is auto subscribe to threads.

These people are creating classic EQ... that means on a patch by patch basis, they have to ruin your fucking day.

if you played classic, you'd know that was the hole point of eq... to ruin your fucking life.

irrelevant change, its going to take what all of 5 mins to get use to hitting C again on every mob, half of us probably do that already. Most UI changes are ultimately useless and do nothing to create or take away from a classic experience. L2Keyboard and stop whining.

I have to waste time to con mobs, cant autorun/mousemove and target stuff to see what I need to avoid while I chat/interact with people and answer tells for rezzes. I have to stop and hit the C key! :P

But seriously, its a change that wasn't needed. Its a waste of time and a part of "classic" that I surely didn't miss.
