From my personal experience, being in every guild and playing with every click on the box is - everyone is dirty.

That being said, when no one on the box considers boxing bad and does it illegally, there is a problem with the law.

It's like how everyone smokes marijuana in Canada, yet it is illegal.

Instead of trying to make a fun atmosphere that attracts a lot of people, the GM's have catered to the very vocal minority of hardcore neckbeards aka Nizzar Arzak, the mass propaganda from Nihilum against anything that will interfere with their non varianced farming of PVE mobs, god knows why it's shit.

Group EXP bonuses, hot zones, teams, variance, boxing, FUN GM EVENTS FOR LOWBIES HOOKING THEM UP.

All we have here is dirty people insulting other dirty people, and server staff hear all these different opinions due to the fact that people only care about their own interests and just say fuck it.

As per title suggests, people at this point on Red99 are boxing with impunity, and don't even bother denying it anymore. Lite routinely 3-4 boxes, as well as a ton of other people.

Is there any possible way to crack down on this or stop it, otherwise I fear we're heading towards the road of making boxing legal and that's just straight not good.

Boxing will never be allowed. That's why I haven't even bothered posting in these threads. It's too unclassic. It encourages solo play and cliques. Basically, they'd be telling red "so because you're all assholes to each other, and alienate new players, we'll give you yourselves to play with."

Will never, ever happen so there's no point in asking. Yes I miss being able to port myself around with full buffs and solo camp some shit, but that's not what eq classic was about. Neither is it good for the server to double the numbers of the already largest army (nihilum) who are working on their 3rd and 4th alts as we speak.

Boxing bad idea despite the ease it gives to new players. The same it does for new, it does for old. Makeing some translocate bots would be better than allowing boxing (yea, bots will never happen either).

I agree that the fundamental issues, like population, people to work with, friends etc would better be improved with teams.

The thing is, with FFA - I look at new players at this point as all people who will quit, or just join Nihi (most will quit) and I just don't even care anymore.

This box has been set up for hardcore EQ PvP fans - which there aren't many.

Boxing is a FFA red solution due to the fact that it sucks, which I can understand - but will not improve the fundamental core issues of the box.

I still think best solution for boxing is to only permit boxing 2 accounts permitted neither account has a character over say 45+ on it. Would encourage players to start here with the lower level population as thin as it is.

Self fulfilling prophecy. Instead of working to make the server more enticing for new players, the goal is always to inject mechanics (training wheels) that provide smaller groups and the uncoordinated masses with a way to succeed with as little effort as possible; and all along its that lack of effort to work together that alienates new players and drives them to either quit or join Nihilum.

Either play smarter or just stfu and go find something to do that you're good at.
