This was back before Kunark, and I really think the amount lost is much less at 50 than 55+. And there seem to be lots of people complaining about bindrushing now that xp loss is gone, so maybe it wasn't really a scarecrow...

I still think it'd be a good mechanic if our server wasn't full of Kimms and Chewies.

If this server was what RZ had been released as for live, it woulda been 90 pop too.

Add risk/reward, tune up resists at least a bit to and resolve glaring issues like mage pet root, highsun and pillar/rain infinite distance after cast starts.

Let the soft skins have their xp bonus, let the vztzjects have their YT.

But make the shit classic mechanically, for great success.
