are you high? Rogean never said it was legit. he said you probably will not get your stuff back because u are responsible for your own acct info. that does not give you the fifth freedom to do as you please, and no where does it say people will not be punished if we can prove who did it.

deleting chars he has info to isnt technically against the rules. players are responsible for their own acct info

as far as rmt, send me proof

I have just had to tell another player they are screwed because yet again they gave their account information to someone they thought they trusted, and ended up getting a character stripped down and deleted.

Deleted characters we can restore, but they will be in the state they were when deleted. Stolen items we will not help you with. This is the internet, people have no problem stabbing eachother in the back with a friendly face.

You must not give your account information out, and in most cases we will not assist in these matters. I say in most cases because our guides have a mandate that they are in no way obligated to spend the massive amount of time it takes to track down and reverse it, nor can we always take a player's word that the actions were done maliciously. If a guide assist(s/ed) you, consider yourself lucky.. it is completely their discretion.

With that said, you should never give your password out, nor should you ever perform a trade with someone until both parties are ready with the items/currency (none of this "oh give me the item and I'll log onto my main and pay you" crap. We've been seeing an increase in this activity lately as well, sometimes the culprit even impersonating someone you may think is a friend, so be careful.)
http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2651 is a link to server rules which covers all of this in depth [trololololololol newp]

In a petition post you say deleting the char isn't punishable, here you're saying it is.

You don't know about the IP exemption insta logging bug, or the zoning into TT wall bug? Ugh OK I'm starting to get an idea of what's going on here.

Too much discretion not enough knowledge is a bad fucking recipe.

Thanks for the quote HB this box is hilarious.

I need to make a sig saying let players solve the problems.

Did you know Mellow was stealing all the loot he could from the VP raid before leaving and trying to get people to come with him? Did you know he stole a bunch of Nihilum gear/accounts that other nihilum dedicated time to? Do you know anything that's going on beyond the actual incident that you punish? I would hope you look at scenarios and people in a bigger picture before condeming someones actions as being childish or rude.

I can tell you in RL if someone raped my kid I'd be taking a baseball bat to his head till he's dead - would that be considered bad behavior? Yeah if you look at the last incident.

God few drinks in me this won't go good.

guys it isn't hard to understand. GM's can help you with char stripping "if they want." If they want to put in the time and effort to track down your gear, they can. If they don't want to because you're an asshole, or too many accounts are getting stripped/deleted, then they wont.

Before you give your account info out to others, ask yourself a question or two ("do the GMs think I'm an asshole and don't deserve their help if i fuck myself over by giving out my info to another douchebagger 'friend' of mine?") and determine your course of action.

LOL let's all grovel and suck GM's dicks so they give us favorite exceptions - cool story Pudge thanks for the insight this isn't why both guilds feel ripped off.

Also Heartbrand you highlighted te part that supports what Sirken is saying. IN MOST CASES. That doesn't mean 100% go nuts stripping accounts. If it warrants it, it will be punished.

You freaking mouthbreather.
