I'm can imagine that both sides are just as guilty. From what I understand he was receiving tells all day so reactions from both sides reflect poor decisions. I won't defend him, he can do that. I'm not looking to be graded on my posts or judged for my associations with other people. I do, however, support both Durison and Zeelot in their mission to make The Mystical Order a guild that I want to be in. They have succeeded in making wise decisions thus far. That's a vague, general statement followed by a list of specifically included actions. Including porting someone in that is silly and assumes a whole lot of interpretive liberty on your part.

It might be unethical or jerkish to do, but it's not the same thing as training someone.

Hrm, well, I guess some of us could consider gambling unethical - let's ban all the casinos and people who use them. So is knowingly selling items for far more than their worth, let's ban those people too. Both of those things could conform to the requirements of "unethical" and "for personal gain". See how using a vague catch-all type of rule as justification works?

The lesson to be learned here is not "how can I game the rules" but "maybe if I didn't act like such a bag of dicks on the forums 24/7, people wouldn't hate me in game."

I mean that's bringing his RL into it with his kid but the rest of that post had everything to do with his position and gaming style. As vague as his statement statement was I could believe it to be similar to, "go outside and ride bikes, stop playing this game."
