So I did "The bug", I went to vp with my blue character, moved the VP files away from the folder.. then tried to log in and the only thing that happened is I crashed.. character is still in vp, same spot I logged out at.

Exactly, I did exactly this except I replaced the files afterwards.

I also tried to patch the files with the patcher, that didn't work.

If Tehruoh really did get this to work, he went well above and beyond the explanation that Supreme gave us.
