Dear friends,

We write to you tonight with a heavy heart.

As most of you are aware, the judge has granted Daybreak its request for a preliminary injunction.

While we did everything in our power to keep THJ alive, The Heroes’ Journey will be shutting down in one hour.

We tried everything we could to honor the time and love poured into The Heroes’ Journey by not just its creators, contributors, and supporters, but by all of you, its Heroes. Though we may lose THJ, we did not lose everything.

We set out years ago to create something amazing- and we did. No one can take that journey and the positive impact it has made on so many away. We have learned and honed many skills, met many incredible people, and made so many amazing friends along the way. This part of our journey will not be marked with regret, but with gratitude.

Gratitude to all of you.

Although THJ will no longer exist, the outstanding collection of people gathered here deserves the opportunity to stay connected as they seek new adventures.

This space will now be known as Legend's Rest: A multi-game community dedicated to those with a love for games and an adventurous spirit.

Though the tone of today is somber, we look forward to discovering what new adventures lie ahead, together.

There will be many changes happening as we make this transition. Please be patient with us.

Note: As the purpose of this community has changed, we invite anyone who no longer wishes to participate to leave voluntarily, but we hope you stay ��

They aren't gonna have it to refund. Daybreak is gonna wring them dry.

They claim they lost 30k subs since THJ. The judge seems to agree that it's more than just coincidence that THJ gained 30k players and Daybreak lost 30k subs.

i wonder at what point, after all the cash started flowing in, did they stop and think.. "guys, is this legal? are we cooked chat?". I'm betting maybe once they got up to around 5k~ a week.

In the last Q&A with them before the lawsuit the apporia guy goes, "You know for the first time in my life im happy, im financially stable, the project is coming along fine, I'm feeling really good!"

Or something to that extent lol

Yeah though for real. Imagine adding a bank account that just gets 5k every week into your life. I'd definitely bel like... uhhhh

Surely at some point in the can just buy a car stage you'd call a lawyer that would give you a rational take right?

I wonder if they did and the lawyer was like, "look based on these numbers by spring you'll have taken in 10 mil so just run it, and when they come at you they'll shut it down and you walk with the cash"

You guys would turn that down?
