All six people who are camping the FBSS or the shiny metallic robes contributed their time and effort to the rewards, and they all deserve to be rewarded equally, rather than have it depend on whether they just happen to be the proper class at the proper time. An FBSS is just as useful to a necromancer who can sell it for a few thousand plat and buy a couple of his rare high end spells or HP gear, as it is to a melee who will wear it until he gets sky haste or RBB and then sell it.

Platinum and items are directly interchangeable and it's not greedy to give every group member an equal chance at the rewards of the camp. If you want the item all to yourself, camp the item yourself.
