how many of you still use google search to find information?

it's almost bizzare comparing how good and useful it used to be, to how propagandized it is now. i bet some people actually build worldviews off of what information shows up in a google search most readily. just trying to find stats on immigration unemployment this morning was a doozie -- none to be found, with hundreds of articles of "akshually if you squint and tilit your head they have less unemployment then native born citizens, but also they are totally not taking jobs from americans as well"

It's always been that way. It's just now it was the internet instead of cable TV. We had a couple of good years there of no thought control because the elites underestimated how readily people would believe internet articles over the TV if the internet articles made more sense.

Basically, if they can turn the internet into signing into instagram and youtube....they can get back to good ol' fashion thought control. Right now their pissed because they can only get like 40% of the population...

So they are trying to kill the way people that can think for themselves communicate with others. They don't want poor rural white people making cause with the poor the city.

It is my belief (as of a few months ago) that immigration is actually set up to piss people off. They can do it in a way that doesn't...but instead they put hostile groups in with our least tolerant rural christian types -- guaranteeing that there will be no assimilation and that the conservative whites rural people are permanently (and justly) pissed off at city liberals that mix in these problematic groups with them.

Hmongs in Siskiyou county California....anyone ever hear of these fuckin people? The ones in Grand Tarino....out of all the god damn Asians to immigrate -- a great group of immigrants overall -- we pick the ones with fucking gangs, drug cartels, prostitution and rape problems? And we put them in fucking Siskiyou county?....

All the brought with them is substandard pot (grown without regard to the environment) and bunch crime -- including rapes according to the cops out there.

We have a ton of Hmongs in the Seattle area. mostly west seattle and south king county. A TON. I go to their cultural events a lot because its really cool and aesthetic. In the late 1980's they were the exact people you describe above, violent shitty drug dealers and street rats, and these days its changed. (I'm sure they still are in Cali.) there are still Hmong street gangs just as there were, however they're not violent at all anymore. All gang violence in Washington is strictly gang-on-gang now. The reason why? Hell's Angels showed up in the early 90's, slaughtered any violent gang member (mostly the black/asian gangs) and continue to this day to do the same. Why'd they do it? They realized everyone makes more money and sells more drugs with less police investigations if no one's shooting anyone. This anecdote really doesn't apply to anything, just an interesting little factoid slice about Washington and Hmongs.

I use google search but I am also aware that a lot of the shit you get right off the bat is groundless bullshit.

Google Scholar is useful if I want to actually prove something scientifically though.

dude that's what i did and how i felt about it up until recently. these days i keep coming across searches where a whole side of a political argument is censored from google. you could go back 30 pages on that immigration example i used, or most questions about islam, before you see a single link representing the opposite of google-approved opinions.

even just the difference in search results between googling stuff using a USA IP address vs using say an Asian or say a nordic or south american one is amazing. if you are logged into a google account and viewing google from a big 5 countries IP address, you are not getting search results you are interacting with a propaganda delivery machine.

damore stuff really gets those almonds going.

to me the tell is, if you feel the need to censor information so much, you probably know your own opinions are incorrect deep down inside. so if i google something like "immigration employment figures" and find that google really doesn't want me to see those figures and instead thinks i should be reading all these rag-tier opinion columns, those immigration figures probably aren't looking very hot for google's agenda.

Scholar is still a good search engine. Academia is pozzed to hell and back, and peer review as a system is fundamentally flawed, but at least they don't block you from seeing controversial studies. Its mostly handy for finding that 1 url that has the pay-to-read study you want online for free, when there's 50 websites with a preview of it muddying normal search results.

People have this unfortunate tendcy to test the waters and assume it will remain the same temperature in the future. That's how you get scolded.

There on to this tendency humans have. This idea that you play it cool and don't do any corrupt shit for a few years....then when no one is looking you start the shit up. Rigging things slowly one way or the other. Slow slow slow...its called foot in the door strategy...

And Goggle has moved in my friends...but it doesn't make it worthless.

Edit: I'm sure there is some financial principal called something like "psychological gradualism" or some crap that is all mapped out that they teach in company seminars. I noticed this with pricing in the Pot industry..

its not 2006-2009 anymore. Google is hurting the algorithms arent as good as they used to be.
