OK so I have it working! However, some of the textures are just not loading in. I think just bad install on my part.

The trick is to delete your eqclient.ini and add this:

[Defaults]
Sound=TRUE
ShowForCard9.16.13.4052=0
TextureQuality=1
VertexShaders=TRUE
20PixelShaders=TRUE
14PixelShaders=TRUE
1xPixelShaders=TRUE
MultiPassLighting=FALSE
UseLitBatches=TRUE
WindowedModeXOffset=1
WindowedModeYOffset=1
WindowedMode=TRUE
[VideoMode]
Width=1024
Height=768
WidthWindowed=1024
HeightWindowed=768
WindowedWidth=1024
WindowedHeight=768
FullscreenBitsPerPixel=32
FullscreenRefreshRate=0

Rest of settings will get filled in on next load. This along with the dsetup fix from above comment and it will run on current MacOS. Just... dont fully have the textures figured out.

One more update: The game randomly crashes at boot. Sometimes I load a random other EXE, then clear all wine processes, and restart. Then it works again!

I have no explanation as to why, but it will randomly work then not work.

Hello All,

Just another mac native trying to relive his childhood. I've been trying for about a week to get this game going on a few different machines in a few different ways. This is what i've done so far:

M4 Macbook / Sequoia 15.6 :

tried running in Paralells
tried running in crossover
downloaded sikirguir (kegworks) and tried running there

The game installs correctly, I drop in the patchfiles to their relevant location in the everquest folder, I run the command with patchme after the quotes -- and then it crashes. I'm doing something wrong-- or my hardware is too new.

I'm now trying it with a 2018 Macbook intel running big sur on Crossover and Paralells, same thing. Same error:

"Cannot attach process 012c: error 5"

Am I running the wrong patch files? I am currently trying to replace the EQ titanium files with v61. Can someone help me with this? I'd love to play the game

Im getting the same issues... followed the instructions to the T. Running sequoia on m4 mbp. I also tried VMware and parallels... neither of which i could get to work. Now this crossover thing ALMOST worked. Like the first time i followed it i got the EULA for eq but i closed out of it... and then every next time i tried to run the EQGame "patch me" command thing we made i got the same ERROR 5: could not attach process error.

Id love to play it on my mac. I have an old surface pro ive been playing on but its not ideal

Trying to get this to work.

Updated Wineskin Wrapper to Wineskin 2.5.9 and am using the W9SWine1.6-rc1x engine. When I run Project1999 or do a test run it flashes three times in the top left and crashes.

My EQClient.ini is correct as per what others have posted... have also tried using the WS9WineCX12.1.2 engine which just means the app sits in dock and doesn't do anything.

Any help would be appreciated
