My thoughts:

The 20 yr old kid who’s posting tik tok videos of his extreme back acne after 4 months of steroids while having almost no gains is not lying about taking steroids like many people claim. Not only is it very rare to have back acne that bad without hormone imbalances, he also has very visible gyno nips in some of the vids (again, rare to see without gear use). So what I believe is going on is that he is taking testosterone for the fun of it, and pretending to be a gym bro posting vids of him “lifting” but not really lifting or just half-assing everything, proving that gear use alone =/= gains. Because after 4 months of steroids all he got was gyno and backne, no actual gains

The gal that is pissed that someone took her Roman horse machine has no right to be. As someone who also supersets multiple pieces of equipment at once, gym etiquette says you can only be on one machine at a time. You can’t tie up multiple pieces of equipment just because you are supersetting without breaks

I’m gonna do my annual heat run on the hottest possible part of the hottest day

Saturday is supposed to actually be 117, but unfortunately I have a family bday party sat afternoon

Friday at 115 is decent. I think I’ll do my usual mountain hike in the morning Friday, but then at 3-5pm time frame I plan to do the Annual Heat Run

You tend to see a lot of dead birds from what I remember from past runs. I have to wear a pear of shoes I don’t care about because the rubber bindings tends to melt

Ima Runkeeper it only to show the time of day and distance (hoping for at least 3+ miles)

Speed is going to be bad though. There’s no way to cool down running at that temperature, so I have to pace my steady increase in body temp to coincide with it being highest at the end, ideally

Baptized by fire - Annual Heat hike/run

Did my usual hike in the mid-late morning. That was ez, finished the same time I usually do

Strange, no one at the summit. No one wants to hike it when it’s triple digits out (there were a few people on trail, most didn’t finish)

The run was harder, and had some hiccups

I tried to go the hottest possible part of the day, when it was 114 out. Didn’t see any dead birds this go round, but the two homeless people hiding in the shade at the park did a double take the first time I went zipping by

Needless to say, not another soul was outside at the park or on the way to and from. I tried to avoid the shade from the trees on one side as best I could, because shade is cheating. A lot of cars were going by bc it was just before rush hour, hoping I motivated a few people to have the thought “what’s your excuse”

The problem came when my music started to skip. I pulled my phone out and saw it was giving a heat warning and then it turned itself off

I was a bit bummed and de-motivated and stopped when it did. Runkeeper said I was a little over 3 miles at that time at a 9.14m/mile pace

I may try again on another 115+ day, but I’ll have to get some kind of an ice pack cozy for my phone to go in. Even in my pocket it overheats (iPhone 10XR)

One of the only Animes I ever watched, other than Akira

Nailed it as Russian Saitama (One Punch Man). That bite of food is probably the only thing he ate that week though [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
