Heartbrand also thought AoW could be killed with like 75 people and a kunark geared tank, man he was wrong then and he's wrong now, vulak is easy as fuck, mobs like vyemm/aow require the gear, even with 90 people, so of course it matters even more with 50-60 like tempest has, therefore LC >> DKP. well, you CAN kill AoW with 75 people and even a planar geared warrior

the only thing AoW necessitates is like 10+ clerics, a lot of DPS, several warriors, and the clerics not missing a beat

the only thing you need is ~5400 hp to survive a full attack round with defensive active, which is obtainable in planar armor

either the CH lands or it doesn't inbetween every attack round, having 6k makes little to no difference if your clerics are fucking up

after that it's about mana loss versus NPC hp loss

Almost every AoW wipe we had was due to some sort of cleric fuck up, so gonna agree with Colgate here. The extra hp helps gives you a buffer if there's a fuck up, but even then barely. AoW's attack is also so high that the benefit of AC seems minimal. It's all about the clerics yowl.

AoW was even more ridiculous on live because of the pain and suffering bug

If your health too too much of a dip (like a flurry from something awful) you would get hit by pain and suffering and get insta gibbed (I will not be bug reporting this one as a classic mechanic, maybe someone else is immersed enough/in poor mental hygiene and will get to it)

Oh yeah and 10 people almost always going link dead on 70+ player engages
