In fairness to Alarti, I randomly selected 20 of his posts, and put them in a word document in order to get the word count.

This came out to 605 words in 20 posts, or 30.25 posts per word.

Now, someone who types at a "moderate" speed averages around 35wpm. (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Words_per_minute).

Thus Alarti's posts are on average 14% shorter than the most average typer would type in a minute. This comes out to ~8.2sec per post saved.

Therefore, we can safely state that, assuming Alarti has "moderate" typing ability, given our sample size, and assuming that he does not stop frequently to make corrections, or to pause for reflection (we can agree on this I think) Alarti spends 51.2sec per post, not a full 60seconds.

Thus with 11680 posts per year, he will have spent 6.92days posting on these forums.
