I texted Option to tell him I was falling asleep so he could take over. Zeelot and Darkdeath were already online. Option called me shortly after, I confirmed that with him. He said he would need some time as he just woke up, then he would take over. During this time, Zeelot and Darkdeath were hanging out in THE LAIR with Nekro and I, positioning themselves strategically.

Option PMs me in vent when he is ready to take over. I tell him that TMO has 20+ on and they have been sitting there for a few minutes forming groups and clearing. We agree that I cant log off. Zeelot and Darkdeath have moved up to the ledge at this point. Option proceeds to log on Option; I send Shinko a tell saying 'I do not know what they are doing here'...and I then see TRAK TRAK TRAK spammed on my screen.

Yeah, Trak didn't spawn at that the time listed in the log. The log is showing them on before spawn....

The raid force dropped down to 20 people, literally half of what it was as soon as we realized the batphone was fake. We took the opportunity to rebuff and protector was pulled because someone noted that it had an HCB. I myself was 5 seconds from logging off when protector was pulled. I stood up cause I wanted to random on the HCB. The rest of the time was everyone yelling vent gems like "WHO SENT THAT WHARGAGRHGBGBGLE -50 DKP."

The only groups formed were shamans doing shadoo and bards manasonging the buffers.

Also, I noticed that 22 FE were at the ledge for several minutes after Trak died. Why would they be there if the dragon was dead? The same reason we hung around after the fake-phone: cause there's stuff to do.

I never saw more than mid-high 20s, and I was constantly doing /who.

I bet people were yelling. All that this shows is that there are indeed people in TMO who were woken up by a 'fake' bat-phone. We have all already agreed on this. The people in this thread are merely questioning how 'fake' that bat-phone really was.

I stayed logged in because I was waiting for the public execution of the person(s) responsible for sending out the second fake batphone in as many Trakanons.

I know it's splitting hairs at this point, but the trigger event is that someone jumped into the wakeup channel and called Trak. This lead to a batphone as a reflex.

So Col. Mustard, in the Wake Up channel, with the Trak sighting.
