Sometimes I think that this server has a great sense of community, and at other times, I feel like its just full of trolls and griefers.
It's an MMO tenant. Go to the forums for trolling, greed, immaturity and bullshit. Log into the game for a mostly fun experience.

this thread is like a threeway. One person is just simply reminiscing, another person is trying to answer the original question, and another person is doing math to figure out what should be the spawn rates for contesteds.

I don't know about you guys, but every menage a trois I've been in basically ends up like this. Kinda sad. I thought this was the dawning of the age of Aquarius and such.

On Live (Erollisi Marr), I remembered there must be almost hundred people in Lower Guk. People would yell camp check every 5 minutes. /ooc and /shouts are non-stop. People were training other people, intentionally or not, it was crazy as hell.

Even on the busy day on this server, it was never that packed in Lower Guk, I surely miss that old day [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].

+1, only way to really level from 30-40 on this server is to get a core group going of players who play during the same hours you do.

One thing Project 1999 cant revive is Classic Everquest. It is physically impossible to recreate Classic Everquest from the year 1999. If you think about it... Nilbog can get VERY close but infact cant recreate it (No offense you do a great job). This game has been out for 10+ years im pretty sure everyone knows the little tricks to everything by now unless you have never played this game before. Therefore there is no classic feel since you know what you're doing every step of the way. It is illogical to think that this server is a Classic Recreation because it is in fact not. Is it a great server to play on casually? Yes. Hardcore? Hell no you just sit there and watch your SEQ and sell your loots for RMT.

In the original EQ on red servers, if someone inspected you they were looking to see if you were worth killing for your gear.

I love this place and it evokes many of the things I remember but, I can't view it with an empty bank of knowledge for the game.

Since this is the best classic Emu that I know of, when people show up who never played live I am excited for that person, and jealous of them.
You could be jealous of me. I did play EQ back then but have such a bad memory it's all new.
