or
"hey that guild is best guild on the server, do you see all those accounts they RMTed that takes real skill, they just completely annihilated their competition with they phat pay-pal lewts"
do you see where im going with this? RMT makes it to where even the most worthless guilds and players can acquire the best loot in the game, with zero effort. and before you say "but but, time is money" which is absolutely correct except in regards to this game where people think time/money = skill, which couldnt be further from the truth

Do you understand the concept of false dichotomy? You present two possibilities here; they probably say more about your personality than anything else. You want to be recognized for your EQ skills. Good luck with that, backstab, backstab, backstab.
Consider this possibility: I am a young doctor. I used to be a struggling college student back in the day. I had time on my hands and a ranger with a cloak of flames and epics.
Now I make $300,000 a year, but I'm exhausted when I come home from work. I want to mess around on that ranger again, but I sure don't want to stare at empty boss spawns or respond to someone else paging me to log in. For less than I make in two hours, I can have my cloak and swords. I don't care if you're impressed with them. I just want them and I have the assets to easily obtain them and now I have them. Sometimes I just sit at character select and smile at my recreated ranger. Ah, the memories.
This is one of limitless scenarios for RMT that have nothing to do with your simplified e-peen stuff. I don't actually expect you to be able to grasp this. I sure am impressed that you have a rogue epic, though.
