" I’ve lost plenty of times, I’ve cried my eyes out losing championship games, but life moves on and in my defense, I learned valuable lessons. I have learned to lose and I have learned the game better. Most Importantly I learned what parts of my game I needed to improve on."

Last night(repeat today) on the Daily Show, Christina Hoff Sommers whose latest is "One Nation Under Therapy" and previously "Who Stole Feminism" claimed that Little League baseball in Massachusetts doesn't keep score anymore. Jon Stewart asked her if this was anecdotal or the norm. She said it was prevalent. I live in Massachusetts and am not aware of any Little League baseball towns and cities that do this. Is anyone familiar with this? Or is this just the right wing fanatics making it up again.

"During the fall I have noticed this was the case for some soccer leagues, then I saw it popping up in basketball leagues, and then baseball leagues as well. I think we are doing a true disservice to today's youth if we think we are protecting them from something, by not keeping score of these games.
Life is full of wins and losses, and I don't mean on the athletic field. If someone earns a promotion at work, that's a win. If a promotion goes to someone else, that's a loss. If someone falls in love and stays married for the rest of their life, that's a win. If someone gets married and then has to get divorced, that's a loss. My point is that I learned how to appropriately deal with a win that I earned, or a loss that I suffered becuase of my youth sports experience. I learned that as a person you are more respected when you win if you do it with class and a quiet humbleness. Conversely, I learned that you are more respected as a person when you lose if you can sincerely congratulate the winner without feeling an ounce of envy, but still have a buring desire to win at the next encounter" --------------------- Some of you have alot to learn....and alot of growing up to do.

Nice penta-post. By the way, Macken and all these other drunken "bro" posters should be thanking Rogean every single day that they even get to play. This is why global OOC is a bad idea. I want to be immersed in a fantasy world, not a mental health clinic.

You suggest the community should eat shit and thank the chef?
Rogean's emu world is better than shit, but you get the point right?

Better than shit? If by shit you're referring to every other emulated box out there, then you would be quite right. You are from VZ/TZ aren't you? A shame that it's not around anymore, keeping the dogs at bay.
