Good for Rogean to get paid for his expertise on classic Everquest. P99 really paid off for Rogean in the end.

P99 will eventually end one way or another. It is awesome at how long it has lasted, but nothing lasts forever.

Unless Rogean hands P99 over to someone else, I don't expect too much new stuff to happen on P99 any time soon.
This. EQL doesn't sound like my cup of tea, but happy that some of the EQEMU devs are getting this opportunity. We will see how it turns out.

EQL sounds awesome until I get to that "but with a twist!" part. Not another god damn twist. What is the appeal of bringing back the original graphics and shit if you radically change the game mechanics? Just make a damn classic server and people will play it. I love p99 other than the ever-looming paranoia that it will just disappear, it would be nice if the actual IP holder would just do it. But noooo, another "twist". Bah humbug I say.
