You know I've been thinking about that, how that we are all one shit comes up in connection to psychedelics so often and it's either A: True because separate people experience the same phenomenon simultaneously or B: That's how a fucking mushroom would think.

This feels a bit judgey to me, Loramin.
Sorry, I should have said an off their meds paranoid schizophrenic. I would never fault someone for having an illness ... but I would for not taking care of said illness.

Yeah just because you can't accept what your eyes see I'm a paranoid schizophrenic. I'm actually an undifferentiated schizophrenic when I was 17 but they just be making stuff up to sell those pills. Take the pill for 3 years like an antipsychotic and you have to take it your entire life. Easy money.
We all get dealt the cards we're dealt, and for some of us that means mental illness.

But you still always have a choice: do the easy thing and listen to the drugs that your brain is producing, or do the hard thing ... and try do something about them.

As someone with mental illness myself, I very much value my sanity. Unlike most people, who get to take it for granted, I don't ... which is all the more reason why I feel you made an incredibly terrible trade by giving that sanity away in exchange for a drug high.

What do you mean? I was put in psychiatry at 16 years due to anxiety and underweight. I had birthday there at 17 they put me on antipsychotics. They said it was good for me. 3 years (or so) later I realized something feels off but then it was too late. I quit cold turkey 5 times no success and my mom and therapist always tell me to just take the medicine all my life. I don't feel like I had a choice to not take this antipsychotics. It was a choice others made for me.

But to be honest after all this I don't really believe in mental illness. I have ocd stuff too for sure but it's not too bad and it's just frustration with life. Mental illness doesn't really exist you're just exhausted or there's some complex problem with real life. It's not really in your head. Most suicidal people can be fixed if given $5 million, no?

Have a choice:
1 take the pills and live with a little handicap
2 die from no sleep and withdrawal symptoms of the antipsychotic

You just covered the choice: fight for sanity, or throw it away. The people who loved and cared about you wanted you to fight, but you gave up. You chose poorly.

I don't get it. What do you mean fight? Fight what? I tried to quit olanzapine 5 times. It is a very addictive drug and everyone always kept telling me to take this medicine all my life so I went along. My mom was scared I would not take my medicine and some of those cold turkeys were covert spec ops missions for me. [You must be logged in to view images. Lormain has a medical condition where if he says something wrong, he will double down and say the most hypocritical things to prove he is right. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Like, TIL he's a hardcore libertarian and thinks its ok to make fun of people who don't pull themselves up by their own bootstraps in this context. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
