Did fauci only learn of the efficacy of masks in the last 7 months, after practicing medicine for 50 years? To paraphrase him again in March "They might make you feel better, they might block a droplet, but they aren't the perfect protection people think they are".
Even worn properly, the masks most people wear are horse shit. You can literally blow through them and put your hand in front of your face and feel your own breath hitting your hand. N-95's and surgical masks are significantly more effective, but that's not what the vast majority of the public are wearing. It is a completely political, religious purity test at this point. | ||

If only I can prove my MASK POINT, I will win!
I've conceded multiple times that masks may very well help stop the spread of this incredibly non-dangerous virus. There is data to support or deny any outcome you want. Like, for example, the data that shows that this virus is utterly non-dangerous for the vast majority of the human race. And even for vulnerable populations, the vast majority do not die, if they are even infected in the first place. You doofuses cannot seem to formlate a cogent argument as to why this particular virus is worthy of this response and the collateral effects, nor an argument as to why we don't react this way to other diseases that kill more people. You just simply can't seem to understand that every post I make is in pursuit of an answer to that question. | ||

Yes I understand that you have attempted to explain it, it's just that your explanation sucks.
The flu killed more kids in the 2019 flu season (which is only 4 months) than covid has in an entire year, yet we don't do anything to stop flu transmission other than say "hey lookout, the flu is bad this year". There's a vaccine for the flu also, it kinda works, kinda doesn't, we don't lose any sleep over it. Just simply say "Yes, we SHOULD mask for the flu also". Then I will know you are arguing in good faith. I'm inviting you to state the logical conclusion of your own argument, but I don't think you will because it would be some kind of blow to your ego. | ||
