I just want to say that as server staff that complaints about names would annoy me the most. I got people stuck or loot has gone missing or someone can't play at all and meanwhile here comes some name whine across my screen.

I mean I wouldn't have a naming policy like this to begin with. Fantasy names? rofl. If there's one thing that not studying law for 40 years has taught me is loose rules are always bad. What does fantasy or appropriate to Norrath even mean?

Not my server, not my rules, not a GM.

Absolutely. Even worse than being vague, it's unevenly applied. All a GM would need to do is walk through literally ANY zone to find dozens and dozens of inappropriate or rule breaking names.

It's pretty absurd.
