Just a thought, but since expansions are "theoretically" going to be coming out much faster, why would someone waste money on items that are going to be replaced easily in just a few months.

Blue had such a bizarre timeline that you really couldn't predict how long it would be before something could easily be upgraded.

Another idea I had: now, more than perhaps ever before, there are tons of players on Green99 who know the game inside and out. They know what classes they want to play, where to hunt, what items to use, etc...and they have big plans of farming certain items to sell in EC.

So there we all are...farming the same items...and trying to sell them to each other. Perhaps the ratio of farmer/sellers to buyers is too high.

Who can farm 3k that can't farm a [name of 3k item here]?
Who can farm 20k that can't farm a [name of 20k item here]?

If you can't farm FBSS / mith 2h and such, you'd be an idiot to buy them.

The items just aren't strong enough to warrant current prices, market saturation is going to drive prices down since shit is permacamped, and come kunark a mith 2h is going to go to the 2k price range in 14 days.

These items don't enable any class to do anything special, its not like an FBSS on a warrior is going to let you solo significantly stronger stuff, so unless you are an elitist you can easily do without.

Elitists don't understand this, of course.
