The only thing sickening here is how bleak your life must be to actually endure this.

Are you both suggesting, "Your life must be bleak to endure this"
and, "Let's not change anything"?

No one except you is forcing you to put yourself through this ordeal.
I don't think anyone said, "Why are you forcing me to do this?!". Not one person. We are doing it. We are pointing out how flawed and broken the mechanic is for the manastone. Forcing someone to stay awake and actively at their keyboard for 60+hours is not a good mechanic. In fact I would say it is a dangerous mechanic for a persons health if they choose to use it.

You are acting like people are saying, "We aren't going to do this!" We are doing it. Just, again, pointing out how bad it is. And how dangerous it could be to a persons health.

I am certainly enjoying the show from here though. These manastone butthurt threads are far more glorious than I anticipated after they announced the /list system.
Trying to be cool, or is there a point you were trying to make here?

I have been enjoying this world for awhile. I have actually been enjoying hanging out with the other people here too. Feel like I made some new friends. Doesn't change the fact that a mechanic that forces people to stay awake for 60 hours straight is a bad mechanic and unsafe.

Or just you know, keep plugging away while crying the whole time and trying to blame anyone except yourself for being so pathetic.
What are you rambling about? Blame people for what exactly? No one here is saying, "How dare you make me do this!", or, "This is your fault!". We are also providing the feedback that the system doesn't work for the manastone drop. This mechanic with 60 hours straight non-stop is both bad design and dangerous.

Now if someone does dies from it. Then yeah, we might see threads where people throw blame out. But that hasn't happened and hopefully our feedback is heard and things are changed so it never happens.

You can't even use this item on Kunark or Velious, and only certain classes can make full use of it, so what's the big deal here
The only purpose is for some internal feeling of accomplishment of getting a 20 year old item that was made useless for a reason. I find it sad to know people have spent more than a few hours camping any item in this game in 2019.

Wow... project much? I’m not even in game.

You don’t even consider that I just have Empathy for other players. There is a Druid right now on Teal named Alport going on hour 40... he is in the #1 spot... I don’t know him, but from the few hours I did talk with him he seemed like a good guy. Said he took off work to get a manastone. I hope he gets it.

I just hopped on for 2 min to tell him, “hey man get some water, stretch, walk around a bit”

What should I have done Instead ziggy? Ridiculed him?

The whole argument “no one is making you...” is complete garbage. You have a large group of min/maxers that play this 20 year old game for a reason. That group is going to do whatever it takes to get the best items.

All I’m saying - you can make the item hard to get and rare without promoting unhealthy behavior.

Hell if the /list command kicked you off after 8 hours with a 8 hour cool down the item would be just as hard and just as rare but wouldn’t allow people to consecutily stay on for 50 hours at the camp.

You hit it right on the bottom for me. I never got one on the live server. It is one of those things I want to do to make younger me proud, lol.

I been up since like 4:30am (6:45Pm now) and I will stay up for 60 hours if that is what it takes.

No one is saying, "Make this easy!", or "Just give me a manastone". Just pointing out that it is a bad system when people are expected to stay awake non-stop with no breaks longer than 10-15 minutes for 60 hours straight. Though as many have pointed out it is more than a bad system because it is quite possibly pretty dangerous.

Guess you realized your argument made no sense and was based on a straw man fallacy and instead of realizing you are wrong, or trying to come up with a different argument this is what we get?

Oh shaddup Cervix.

Point is there are only a small number of people who are going to be willing to go to these lengths to obtain this precious stone. Who cares about those people. The majority of healthy players with lives don't care about that shit.

List and droprates are fine as is, CARRY ON!!!!

I have 50 more hours so I will be here for 50 more hours to responsd. I am one of them. I am grouped with 5 others doing it and one person who accomplished it. His last manastone took him 30 hours to get. Not for a full rotation. But for him at 1#.

The fact that you think peoples lives is something people shouldn't care about says a lot. It doesn't make sense to say, "These people might die but who cares!" and then follow it with, "People may die and I don't care but the list and drop rates are fine!" Lol. Wut?

It’s interesting that your only able to judge one type of player that you apparently loathe... you literally say they don’t matter... but not once seem to have any objective thought on a brand new system, it’s impact, or ramifications.

If /list didn’t exsist do you think these people would be doing 50+ hours consecutively ? Or do you think they would work with their guilds to control the camp in healthier (less that 24 hour) shifts ?

It’s like some how you decided the system is unquestionable and decided anyone who tries should be dehumanized.
