If you think competitive raiding is fun now, imagine trying to get those 50 hp gloves on your pre kunark shaman eh? While half the raid is wearing at least 1 leather armor.

+5 wis brownish plate boots to separate you from all the black fur ones? Ugh.

LR would be so amazing, but I think the odds of obtaining it are so low that idk I dont even want to day dream about it.

lol I want some so bad but its like, you literally have to compete against more than half the servers classes for it hahaha

I always felt that Misty seemed to have more starting mobs than places like GFay. Maybe because it's just smaller and actually possible to see further than a tree away with no fog around.

I should dust off the old Dell Dimension XPS T450 Pentium 3 comp in my closet. I upgraded that bad boy to a Voodoo 5 5500 AGP, an Aureal A3D sound card, a bad ass 10/100 Intel NIC, a "state of the art" US Robotics 56k V92 modem, a 40 gig hard drive, and 768 megs of SDRAM back in the day. It was still in use up to 2005. I should load Windows 98SE on it and see if P99 would melt it into a puddle. Probably wouldn't even install. I think it has a copy of Windows XP Home on it right now.

We've come full circle. I'm having nostalgia about old days on P99. The days Scimitar of Mistwalker was removed was a major day for butthurt. IB vs. Trans was the original battle of the poopsock. Manastone was basically a requirement to raid planes at that time. I used to wake up at 7AM on a Saturday, pickup coffee and breakfast, and be dialed in for an 8AM Fear raid.

TBH I feel like being the best of green, all the way through velious, would be much harder and rewarding than being the best on blue! (shamelessly shilling for the neckbeards to feel the need to compete on green)

Lets make it culturally acceptable here that the top green raiders are less casual scum than the top blue raiders and are the true best players of everquest (even the hero's from the past, you need to log back in and defend your honor on green! Pyro! Tiggles! idk whoever you people are idk Im a filthy casual)

Staying on blue... Spent so long attaining what I have seems strange to then jump to a new server to spend thousands of hours to get what I already spent thousands of hours to get. I do wish good luck to all the greenies though!

Why not both? I'm not going to make more than one character on green. I have had enough grinding...one is enough to get that nostalgic fresh start feeling again.

Just think if you could go back to the P99 team when they released blue and say to them, hey in 10 years your server is still going to be going strong and you'll release a 2nd server then.
