Lack of item loot, xp loss on pvp death and out of the box EQ emu resist code was awful. You are right. Reminds me of how the new Activision/Blizzard sells you on their brand then drops a steaming pile. The developers are more talented than this. 600+ at launch shows you there is interest but there was failures in execution.

That said, a simple tweak to allow item loot and a relaunch would definitely work.
