That being said 1p per level or 50p is pretty standard and has been for a long time Lastly having a 60 enchanter myself... The class can fart and plat will fall out, if you cant afford 50p for a port on an enchanter then perhaps EQ live is more your speed

If I advertise on my wizard I /auc WTS wizard ports and set a price.
Of course you get some jokers claim they would have tipped way more (glad to have saved you money, sir), but I think it is a more transparent way to operate. If don't /auc WTS ports, but advertise differently it usually means I am casting for free.

Don't get me started.
Playing a druid for pp/h is a fool's errand and some of the worst opportunity costs you can subject yourself to. Anyone 40+ should be farming FS for 500+/hr or better. I only log mine on to drop transfer, group wipe recovery, buff/gear random newbies, or get jboots for an alt. Porting is the most mind numbing grab ass thing you can do for money. If you're playing NA there will be a billion others competing with you especially considering most are ignorant about the last level druids get their ports (44) and will always hammer the highest level one online. ~30-50pp tips, frequent long gaps of nothing and then juggling a billion people who can't communicate properly. If you're playing Euro hours...don't. MY god, they don't have a tipping culture and it shows. They think your time is worthless. 5-15pp tips or flat out stiffs almost every one of them. Okay so you get to deal with: - Long stretches of no business - A billion tells at once to break up those stretches of no business - Crashing on zone - The guy who sits at the ring for 45 seconds without trading making shit awkward - Slow people calling you to a ring 5 minutes before they get there as your queue waits - Making you run to Qeynos arena and wolf form them for 10pp - CRs (no problem doing these but they hurt returns at the end of the day considering how frequent they are) - Flakes - Explaining the tooth system - Tipping with shit that didn't sell in the tunnel or is lore and common that everyone has banked. No I don't want to sit in EC selling this partial stack of trade skill shit no one buys I'm destroying it - Asking if they are KOS to Wuoshi, which they are and lied to you about - Poor communicators who think you can read their mind about the friend they are waiting for - People who don't want the standard invis/lev/sow before EJ/SF ports and get mad you're wasting their time. YOU'RE WASTING MY TIME I DON'T EVEN WANT TO BE DOING THIS AT ALL. - Flipping your damn anon tag off to manage queue times - Etc etc It's literally being a fucking bus driver. You come into contact with the most bizzare segments of the population, and the bell curve skews very low. Of course there are the rare people who split instead of trade their cash, know where they are going, value your time with a fair tip, and are generally easy to work with but my god. I think everyone should roll a druid to 44 and drive the short bus for a week. No ports unless you've got a druid and have done your time. I don't think there will be many stiffs after that. I've been the level 10 iksar calling a cab to the EJ ZL with 10pp to my name. I don't have problems with the newbies. But when you're in your fancy ass gear ...you should REALLY be giving someone fair value for their time. I run ride the damn boats on my alts if I don't have the cash on hand I'd never stiff someone. 50pp/1pp per level has been the standard since I started here. I don't blacklist anyone out right but I did run a GINA trigger that lets me know you are a horrible tipper (or good one) and you get shuffled around in the queue. I hold grudges against entire raid guilds who's alts stiff, no excuse not to be holding dots when you've got 1m droppable weapons and full MQ gear. TL;dr POK books when?

Not sure why I feel different about porting...But I also don't port on my druid for plat, and the super rare times i might be be porting its because Im bored and want to watch Netflix while "AFKish playing" EQ I have set a minimum fee for PoTG thou... 75p minimum or get bent (still free for DaP thou cause I know it helps the younger druids / wizards level)

Granted I haven't done a TON of high end camps, but porting is consistent plat that doesn't rely on a drop for a payout. Even then, you've still gotta sell your drops. I agree with you to some degree, once you are a certain level it might not make sense to spend all your time porting people around solely for plat, but believe it or not, some people enjoy it (myself included).
