I keep forgetting that when I write these little hints no one in the twitter generation will follow up on them. 'Taking action' can certainly mean eating less red meat. But it can also mean drinking green tea (inhibits iron absorption) or giving blood periodically (like a woman). The only issue is that you need the ferritin test to know how often, because you don't want to develop iron deficiency either.

As an aside, it helps to come from a culture that doesn’t accept divorce. You peckerwoods are legitimately too quick to call it quits. Marriage is hard at times. I’ve never slept on the couch but I did take a week off from work in my 40s and go to the ranch, alone, to get shit faced with the Czech rednecks and shoot guns to get the hell away from my wife.
