ugh i keep getting "client update" issues in game. Can't switch patcher to EU for some reason. Any tips?

I have a 21 dwarf named rumly in midgard, but i'll switch to hib. Albion was my original realm, but hib seems interesting.

All you have to do is get an older version of DAoC portal, I think Nalkin has been having the same issue, and found a post on Uthgard's forum about the problem being with the newest version of DAOC Portal.

I played my friends DAOC a week ago. It looks like an everquest wanna be, but the pvp is pretty neat. The population was really nice too. I would say DOAC is a neat game, but im an EQ(Classic/Progression) guy. DOAC is better than EQLive X a million.

Yeah we have to wait until Uthgard catches up with DAoC portal. Or I can just keep playing 180 seconds at a time =p

I looked for a bunch of downpatches, but they only go from 1.107 - 1.103 which doesn't work out.

So we'll see.

When you install an older version of daoc portal, you'll be able to set the client to EU in the settings and then "patch it down" that way. I've also done that myself in the past. We've had people starting on Uthgard just a few days ago. Be sure you patch the game using daoc portal and not directly.

The current client does not work with Uthgaard: http://uthgard.net/index.php?option=...p&f=15&t=21830

However, in that thread Hoppip is uploading an older client. I downloaded his client and it worked for me.

Now if I could only figure out how to use an ear horn...
