You're right. It's so much more impressive to put in solid 12 hour EQ shifts - but if you pull a 8 hour shift and wake up in the middle of the night to put in 4 hours, you've clearly got issues. In my opinion, both of those individuals probably have "larger issues at stake".
i didnt see play time mentioned anywhere in my post

nice job arguing a point that you yourself made up though

he's right though, if you happen to be on when a named pops then go for it

if you happen to be sleeping and get a call when a named pops so you can wake up and go for it...well there's larger issues at stake with these individuals
Yes, what they need is to be online MORE often so that they don't get called out for having no lives.

Why can't people understand that what is fun to one isn't to another and vice versa?

I mean look at the people who got their jollies off DDOS'ing the server or training EC or people who port people to the wrong place and /q out.

tl;dr thanks mom I'll do what I want in my free time

I would gladly insult all of those people as well. Adacab and his goons are a plague anyway that should be banned from these forums.

IB just put in a system that works, they have been using this same system for many many months. You can take out most of the players and replace them with whoever and it still works. I'm not saying it's the right way to do things. But EQ is about mobilization and they usually win. It helps to have a ton of guild members too. If you want to know how to beat them, just beat them at their own game.

And maybe training their tracker helps!? IMA KIDDING!

Problem being is what's happening now is a leftover from the poopsock glory days. The leftover -- the variance -- isn't classic and isn't what went down on live. Live never had a variance. The people complaining about rotation (which even I don't agree with) are quick to point out that it wouldn't work here but don't say a fucking word about the variance.

EQ mobilization was about having various targets up and diplomacy and racing between guilds who would go after certain targets (think server goes up, leader PMs leader and each states their intentions and both guilds go on their merrily way or one says F you and /ignore).

Signing on when the thing spawns and SEQing the spawn time (as per DA) isn't classic. Wake the fuck up

I've been saying it for 10 months, but we need simulated patch days. No variance + simulated patch days would be just like it was on live. I still don't see how this is so difficult.

Playing online games is cool these days. Playing online games to the point of having no life outside of said game... not cool now and was not cool in 1999.

My earlier point was to get some of the uber guildies worked up about being total douchbags in rl for spending 24/7 online playing a game
You dont understand what happened here. The players where not logged in when the mob poped. They where doing other things IE RL (maybe). They were advised a mob had poped via social media and logged in for 30 min. The mob was killed they logged back out. saying they played "24/7" is the exact opposite to what happened. I cant even load my clubs, drive to the range hit a bucket of balls in 30 min.

Now i am not trying to defend IB in anyway, nor am i mad (bro) i just think some people posting here are clueless and do not know how to manage time.
