I played Velious actively for about a month with a maxed out Kunark 60 ranger basically guildless. Had more fun with that than my past year+ of raiding, which of course, was only to have a maxed out Kunark 60 ranger day 1 of Velious to derp around solo with while ditching the awful state P99 raiding devolved into. My cloak has clicky 50% spell haste. I won EQ.

Not sure where the fun is in making sure you hit 1000s of giants to faction up, then repeat with your 23 alts :/

What bothers me more is everyone going after the same targets due to min/max.

Why dont more people farm the west wing in temple veeshan for example, place is pretty untapped and you wont have to share an armor farming wing with anyone.

This is truth. CoV faction does seem a lot easier to get than the others due to Kael being more accessible in my opinion...and halls of testing feels better to kill in than just killing giants and dwarves. I think its safe to say (even back in 1999 when we all start originally playing) that we all started playing this game with the goal of killing dragons in mind, and at least in HoT you are killing dragons.

Some of the dragons are still improperly tuned as far as I'm concerned.

I'm talking about west wing tov for kael faction armor, not farming kael for the inferior thurg armor.

I can see faction being a thing, maybe, if guilds weren't killing whatever target popped in window at the first opportunity regardless of what faction it is on (dain, tormax, yeliank ect).

Except for warriors, SS is always the better armor. Significantly more stat rich armor.
