I mention in passing that we could use a shorter guild name, because it stuck out of stuff when youre roaming around trying to PVP. Terp tells me that it has 0 effect on pvp. I say something like "I know it doesnt have a big effect, just a little". Terp is having none of it. I post a picture like "Look, i died in pvp and im trying to look around a corner of a house while these 3 guys are camping me and name is sticking out of the corner while im trying to scout". Im not understanding yet that using logic to try to get Terp to come around is only making him mad, because not losing face admitting he is wrong is more important than acknowledging name lenght has some importance. Terp starts to get heated and heated about this and sticking to his clearly invalid point that it had 0 effect on PVPing. Finally he gets so annoyed that calling me an idiot instead of debating this thing isnt working, that he tries to throw his WoW Emu officer weight around, orders us "I dont wanna hear about it anymore" to stop debating the name we want for the guild. Im pretty sure some of these people were his RL buddies, i felt bad for them, i had never seen anything like this before in a MMO. I felt his attitude was so bad that i thought, im just going to ram the point in on the force forums and make this guy look like an idiot. I posted in the forums guild name thread that our name should be "HEYLOOKATHOWLONGOURGUILDNAMEIS,DONTMINDMESNEAKING BEHINDTHISTREE" or something like that. Since then, this guy never forgave me for making him look like a cartman "Respect mah authoritayh" douchebag and putting his feet to the fire on this. He would send his friend to annoy me in red dawn TS, disconnect me randomly from the Red Dawn TS a year or so later after what happened in the WoW emu. That guys is a huuuuuuuuge butthurt manbaby and i wouldnt go within a 100 feet of somewhere where this guy has any kind of authoritayh. --- Honorable mentions: - Vaporize proudly telling us in Nihilum TS that a guy took the fall, lost his job because of him stealing money at the EBgames store he worked for. - Abysal egging a drunken Bahamut on in TS as he told this story of how his dad made him shoot a black guy that was trespassing on his land when he was 8. Left the guild founding fathers (which Abysal led) soon after. That guy would scream "KILL THAT N*****" each time we would run after someone in pvp, so annoying. - Making Nizzar explode in Vent screaming pointing out that he made a mistake (not calling out that you need to be standing up at royals or group will wipe), so he shouldnt be losing his shit and blaming people who are new at the Chardok content for a leadership mistake he made. I tried saying this in french to him first to be diplomatic but his butthurt nerd angst was having none of it. | |||
