Greetings all.
I'm intrigued, and have been around the block a few times with respect to PvP. I have a couple of questions though. First, the rule set seems to be inconsistent, to be polite. A fungi tunic twink comes at me and I will do two things. First, accept that death is inevitable. Second, I train the sh*t out of the twink. Corpse camping is legal, with a caveat, but legal none the less. But you cannot use your immediate environment to defend yourself? The rules should be consistent: ie. there are no rules. The environment is a tool to be used as deemed appropriate by the players involved. My second question has to do with the end game. I recently played on a vanilla wow pvp server and it was ugly. Once you got to the endgame the focus was on the leaderboard, which meant that the highest level players would kill the lowest levels that would still provide "honor" points. Semantics aside, the reality was that the game was no longer playable. Same people. Same time zone. Same limited number of end-game zones. One cycle of endless ganking. Also, I doubt the loot and scoot stuff is enforced because the staff are probably overworked as it is. I'm considering giving it a shot, but would like to hear about the end game, as well as the justification that corpse camping is ok but training is not. Thanks.

There was only one instance in my time spent playing EQ that I lost a significant amount of money, and it really sticks out in my memory for this reason. Ran into a group of shorty purists during Luclin era and was nuked down quickly, think a wizard got a manaburn off even. Lost 300pp. That was bad luck and stupidity on my part, and it never happened again [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] the bluebies grow lazy, and fat with coin~ xD Quote:
The actual community that exists on red is largely awesome. Had a lot of fun chatting and hanging out in groups, which is to be expected in EQ! And the vocal minority? Surely a mature gamer would know not to get involved in it, watch it with kind curiosity, and maybe roll their eyes gently. Sometimes it's really amusing tbh. I kinda believe that pvp gamers, particularly in games like EQ where pvp isn't "supposed" to happen, are more creative and interesting than their blue counterparts. Maybe if someone's afraid of potentially offensive creativity ("there are bad words in this rap music!") they should stay away, but still. Letting a few loud personalities dictate how you play and enjoy the game seems kinda silly.

Not content enough though, most people ignore Jehovah's Witnesses rather than going onto a Jehovah's Witness forum and saying how they don't like them very much.
Sorry if you're rustled by this thread, it's just created to promote a growing population. If anyone can make it to level 10 I'd be happy to do JC combines for free at NFP bank (just bring me the materials). ...and as I mentioned before all the trolls came in, if you really don't want to start completely from scratch it's possible to find a plat transfer from blue to red if you can find someone switching. I can make up HP rings for 310pp a pair (mat prices), stat gear, resist gear, whatever you like. I'm not looking to profit, just to help new players get started whatever their bank balance.
