You can only put up if you've got something to do that with, you cant gamble if you ain't got no money. So of course he isn't going to shut up, since the latter is the only way he can feign his way through credibility.

He's kind of like the kid we all knew in high school that would incessantly talk-up his merits over a certain subject to astounding levels of exaggeration in the hopes we all believe his shit, but in reality he's trying to make himself believe it.

He also reminds me of this kid I went to school with who would brag he could whoop anybody's ass because he did MMA, when called out on it to prove it he just sat around and talked mad shit about how people were not "worth his time" while continuing to reinforce the fact that he was this supposed bad ass. He did this on several occasions, each time exaggerating a little more until someone finally took a swing on him and the kid went down faster than an insecure teen trying to win a boyfriend.
