I gave my account info to a handful of friends, I've known Doors for several years, had him on Facebook, had his phone number etc. I don't understand people like you who look at a situation where someone was an obvious asshole and fucked someone over and have the immediate thought that the person deserved it because they were too trusting, it's a weird mindset.

You're literally giving someone shit for outing a thief in public, like there is some measure of personal responsibility that has to be met by me before I should be allowed to bring someone into the light who steals things from others. Don't get it.

Few reasons it bugs me:

1) Did you ask Eunomia for permission to post the information she gave you? For some reason I doubt it. Did she share that information with you thinking "Hey, let's help this guy stir up some shit on the forums!" Or was she thinking, "Maybe he can contact him and he'll give it back". I don't know, but I'd imagine the latter. Maybe she's cool with you making a scene of it, I don't know. All speculation, but I doubt that a GM wanted you making a bigger fuss of it on the forums.

2) Regarding the corpse drag thing your account seems all buddy-buddy. His account seems shocked. I don't think you've been nearly careful enough.

3) You do want pity. "Trusted friend" makes it sound like you're trying to cast yourself in the most sympathetic light possible. You didn't get randomly screwed over. You did something that people have warned against since the dawn of mmo's... since the dawn of passwords even. There's even a sticky about it on the forums.

4) We don't have Doors account of any of this. All we have is you saying "He stole from me. Hate him because he's a scumbag." For all I know you've sewn a web of bullshit after telling him he could have some stuff. I believe he's guilty at this point, but again I only have your account.

1) Yes, Eunomia originally messaged me this info in game. I sent her a PM on the forums explaining that I'd like to out Doors for being a scumbag and she re-posted it for me in the petition forum. If i was using it without her consent don't you think she would have deleted the threads by now?

2) I have admitted myself in this very thread that I was not careful enough, this thread started as me trying to get my items back and ended with me showing the community someones true colors in the hopes they won't get fucked over similarly in the future.

4) I don't know how much more cut and dried it can be. Given the obvious evidence I've presented in the thread and the fact that several other people have stated they aren't surprised by who took it should be enough. It's obvious you have some weird desire to play devils advocate by your posts in this thread so that's fine though.

Because I'm not so quick to crucify a Doors based on this guy's word that it was stolen and a trade log? If Doors showed up right now and said "He said I could have it, then changed his mind. Now he wants me to try to transfer stuff from red to blue to return it." You'd have to make a decision on who to believe, wouldn't you? Yeah, sure Doors is probably guilty. But I'd hate to be accused of a crime if you were king of the universe.

Anyway if it's so cut-and-dried, then make an exception, ban Doors, give the guy his fungi back. He deserves it if he stole from him, right? More work for the CSR staff, but at least you removed a thief from the server.
