I remember being told that during storms the boats could sink.

I believed that if you died an exceptionally stupid death you'd lose more experience. For example if you got into a fight with a green and somehow lost, or fell to your death or accidentally nuked yourself or over mod-rodded yourself then you'd lose more experience

Is it not true that if you die to a red con, you loose less exp? I was told, and have always believed that if you were level 12 and died to a level 45, you wouldn't loose as much exp as you would if you were killed by a level 16.

The first few times I saw faction change messages, I thought I was somehow affecting some kind of dynamic conflict that would influence the world. Such as: by killing an orc, the orc faction literally got weaker and elves were getting stronger. I thought there must be some kind of battlefield zones out there where factions were pitted against each other, and I was changing spawn rates or some such. Stupid of me to believe something so simple, doable, and awesome would be a part of EverQuest!

As for the rest of this absurd superstition about plains pebbles and cabbage - there be some gullible fools up in here.
