I'm pretty sure people would petition if they won a fight and suddenly died afterward and also never got any loot of any kind. Not really a valid analogy at all. But since you made it, I'm pretty sure that if people took the risk in a fight against a mob and won, and that mob was supposed to be guaranteed to drop a 80-100k item, and they were locked out from looting it, that the petition forum would be on fire.
Whats you're point then? I cant have fun using rng the way I want to? If I cant then u cant do anything else u want in eq cause with no explanation, logic, reason, rationality. Im not fighting this cause because I like casino's. Players should be able to play how they want because it excites them to do so while still being with integrity. Dont we like eq classic because it was creative, FREE ROAM and e citing in ways most people these days cant comprehend. If I caant do somethind like play a casino game and win something even though the odds were incredibly horrible AND come out on top. Thus having an awsome story to tell. ( and a nice prize). If the guy would have just taken his losses and gave it. The story would go down in p99 history. And everyone would only trusted arrowed more and he probably would have gained more business. Im not completely sure what the point of a game is if it wasnt for having fun. It just seems like its not a game SOMETIMES when the people enforcing the rules create more grief than they generate good times.

They should track down this guy's main character, take his fungi from him and give it to the winner of the fungi as poetic justice. Make it happen GM team.

That's the problem though. He didn't give the item that was won fair and square according to the rules that he set. That's why there are people lighting the boards up. Your rng analogy can only go so far. This is something completely player driven, therefore there will need to be moderation from the GM's from time to time. I agree that people should be allowed to run casinos and play them if they want, but both sides have to understand the risks and the consequences.

Candyland players. Anyone giving their money to someone without receiving something in the trade window understands the risks, and that includes the risk of being scammed.

Yet people have gotten their money or items back from dropping item and logging on alt or asking someone to trade to an alt. Yes, it is shitty but if those problems were fixed in the past I do not see a difference here.

RIP Dungeonmaster

DM I still love you and the super kickass DnD game.

The tunnel will be less immersive without you.
