When rogean accidentally put exp back in for four hours we had like 50 people at a. Fear raid. He removed it hours later and I think we had low 20 at the next raid. We knew low 20s wasn't doing anything in Velious so why waste time on a sinking ship? The majority of my closest friends all play with me in Nihilum now so it's all good.
i remember that time of exp, it was a dangerous time for any non 60 guild. you should have taken that moment to become stronger not weaker. you had plenty of people on your guild forums asking you to press on, this was a good time to really see who was loyal and really wanted to help the guild. to expand your core.

The hard times of struggling are the best times, its when you start to win it gets boring.

instead you flushed it all down the toilet.

too bad you turned into a scum bag when you joined Nihilum again, or just returned to your normal behavior

Ya sorry this is a game not a job. Feel bad for those so bitter and mad over it.

if leveling rates is all it took to kill Red Dawn, then the sooner the better. However, we know that's not the case.

If leveling is all that took down a guild trying to overthrow Nihilum then it would have no chance but Red Dawn had a lot of members that didin't care about that. For many it was just a way to enjoy the server while getting away from all the regular players that made the server stale.

In Velious there will be a lot more raid targets and RD could have done their own thing without having to go head to head with the number 1 guild.

Unfortunately we needed a raid force of mid low 30's to 40. I had no issue being a second tier velious guild doing WToV / NTOV named drakes / vindi etc. But we didn't have the numbers even close and at the time exp bonus was completely removed. It's easy for the boxers of azrael who have been 60 for three years when there was a 300% exp bonus and no on the server pvping to talk, but for red dawn you could spend an hour at efreeti and get literally 1% exp, not to mention getting ass fucked from both sides.

If a lack of immediate interest or a little opposition already have you discouraged or second-guessing the idea, then you are unlikely to be capable of seeing a guild through the growing pains.
There is a good reason I don't have the drive now and so many guilds die out after an initial surge. It will take its toll on every officer and especially the leader. Don't take the decision lightly because people are going to put their faith in you.

Plan the guild out and get a solid foundation in place before you start building. Figure out who among you will be the leader and how many officers there will be and what roles each of you will perform. I like the number seven so we had two Raid Officers, two Recruitment Officers, two Guild Officers to help me take care of the day to day stuff and my job was to resolve conflicts between guildies especially but with all the people outside the guild they pissed off.
The specifics will be up to the core group, but everything will go smoother when everyone knows their job and can focus on it exclusively. There will be a thousand unexpected headaches at least and somedays you will feel like you are babysitting spoiled kids on a sugar rush.

I will gladly help you and whomever else figure out a plan and get the basics set up if you all would like some assistance. Just PM me or something and we can discuss it outside a public forum.
