Shouldn't it be kind of obvious not to pull stuff from where other people have been camping/pulling before a bard walks in?

I didn't realize you have to ask them nicely to leave your stuff alone, and THEN they're nice.
To be honest it's not actually obvious at all. The mere presence of an enemy is validation it isn't being killed.

Still, there is a reasonable amount of respect that has to be give to a class that CAN conceivably kill every enemy within their kite. At the same time it isn't unreasonable to expect a bard to stay away from the few areas people are xp'ing.

Something something two way street.

Well you act like it, jumping to his defence! I like Swish he spends most of his day uploading funny Gifs to these forums.

You like him too it seems... A little too much

There are very few zones where swarming can effectively occur. Why not go to another zone if the swarmer is killing that one.

FoB taken? Well Cabilis has 4 entry level zones adjacent to it. Try Swamp or Lake instead.

My favorite is how mad people get at bards in OT.. the most known swarm kiting zone in game.

I'm not a fan of bards that monopolize zones, but OT is one zone they can have. It's garbage exp and garbage loot for every class that is not a bard and it's where bad players go to not learn how to handle themselves in a dungeon.

Besides, OT is where most bards go to die, since after OT there isn't much left for them to do when they don't know how to play their class in any other way.

I think a small portion just don't give a fuck about the people around them, and draw the biggest stink. I was leveling(with a group) a few weeks in kurns/fob area, or attempting to when druids were non-stop PLing.

You make due, ask them to leave, if they don't, you report and go about your day. I had a guide show up and chase um off.

And as far as Kiting goes...I tended to stick to low pop areas, like FV for about 7 levels. When I had no choice but to OT, I kept to non prime time, or smaller kites so I wasnt jacking everything.

How? Most times I've been in FoB there's at least 20 people.
