This is EverQuest. PvE is most of what we do here. PvP is tons of fun and adds some much needed flavor, but let's not forget ourselves. Maintaining guild relationships is more worthwhile here than it is on blue (because it's harder, and carries heavier consequences), and the one between Azrael and RD soured. Whatever the reason for that alliance failing, this is now the reality.

If he wanted to contest them he would want to pvp azrael to get pvp experience BEFORE velious. He just wants to zerg because he just wants another blue server like nihilum. Before you need to start worrying about pvp skills you need to worry about having a force big enough to accomplish anything once you have killed the other guild. RD isn't strong enough to take the mobs without PvP so what would that accomplish in Velious?

RD is basically another Nihilum and wants to do PvE but not as hardcore. I don't see why this is a surprise to everyone even though the leader, HB, has stated it clearly 100x.

It is inevitable that PvP will happen if a couple guilds can rise up and have this same mentality. Guilds that only want to PvP are short lived. RD would be stupid to go up against a guild like Nihilum right now. If there was another PvE guild like RD right now, with a similar force in gear/numbers/levels then RD and that guild would fight over PvE targets that they both wanted. The best PvP comes organically when similarly matched guilds have to compete for PvE.

It is pretty black and white. People get frustrated because other people don't cater to how others want them to play to maximize their fun? You want 20 people to log in and follow you around for free kills?

Rd is not another nilly. Nilly is well accomplished and not coat riders. Have fun with the alliance feeder guild.

since day 1 of red dawn HB has been telling me he wants to compete nihilum for raid encounters in velious but not target nihilum as an enemy, just compete for raid targets. This is the main reason i joined red dawn. Turns out this isnt the case, HB never left Nihilum and anybody in red dawn is just a nihilum feeder.

red dawn and nihilum are the same guild

just red dawn are the tier below that are kinda the bitches in the relationship.

you seem to have the wrong impression about azrael because you said "guilds that only want to pvp". well azrael wants to contest for pve. not to mention azrael has gotten farther than red dawn in pve, pretty sure azrael killed trak a few times and even some veeshans peak mobs where Red Dawn hasnt even come close to that level yet.

RD killed trak last week. The only dragon in VP killed by someone other than Nihilum, was led by me, with 7 people playing my VP keyed chars. RD has killed the majority of non VP raid mobs for the last 3 weeks in a row.

As to your complaint about porting out of pvp, there's competing interests at hand. I'm 60 and personally don't give a fuck if I die in pvp or not, but many of my members are level 54 or so, and don't want to spend their day dying in Sol B to level 60's and then having to LNS and being killed the second they zone into lavastorm because it's a "different" zone, and then killed again in nektulos etc. They don't want to be forced to CR @ naggys lair. They don't want the demoralizing blow of losing pvp to 15+ level 60's full PVP buffed.

Also you're lying through your teeth about always porting out, as I made plenty of calls to fight Nihilum for Ragefire in RD, even when we knew victory was almost impossible. We did it for PVP experience. This was even BEFORE the PNP.

In short, you're full of shit, thanks.

Pretty sure Red Dawn has got more raid targets in the last month than Azrael ever has. Also, if Azrael wants to contest, why have they only killed 1 contested mob? Why has Azrael run from Nihilum, every time Nihilum shows up to PvP? Don't start crying about numbers. You either want to fight for mobs or you want uncontested mobs. Azrael has a rich history of shooting for the uncontested. And when Azrael killed that 1 VP mob, they were in Red Dawn.
