the damage reduction isn't calculated prior to the spell landing on another PC, it is calculated at the time the damage is applied. meaning there wasn't some mystical nerf done to the spell itself prior to it landing, which should mean you get the full potential of the HP gain from the lifetap despite the damage done. at what point was lifetap nerfed to only give 10hp back if you kill a 10hp skeleton though? I seem to recall elder beads being used for lifetap, right? or did necros only use duration taps on the eye of zomm? I had one on my necro and only remember using duration on it, but that was many expansions deep already and past the point it would have gotten changed. | |||

I just hope that while resists become more important that we don't go 100% classic if we won't also implement item loot, otherwise melee will be too strong.
