I was part of coalition that put up a fight to nihilum, issue is everytime someone does it shady shits start appearing all over the place

Had naggy lair crash on us at the absolute perfect moment to stall ragefire more then once, server instantly coming down when we pushed all mobs onto our timezones more then once, you know shit like that makes people wonder.

Now i am not one to say nihilum would do this (server resets) but crashing zones probably, i've seen it done against me before on vztz.

My personal biggest issue with the server isn't nihilum it's the people who play here. There's nothing more demoralizing then spending time on people and they leave to join nihilum. Were here to fight, if everyone joins the top guild whats the point of playing? And that's where nihilums leadership comes in, why don't you fucking stop recruiting? The reason i've heard is that your one and only priority is to beat the raid content in velious, so you need more members. Well if that's the case red99 is a dead server cause you'll need every single player on here to beat AOW if truly classic.

Will teams99 change anything? I think so, a new starts definitely gives new players a shot, also the fact that the first 6 months of box we had a corrupt GM running things didn't help at all. It killed 1 out of the 2 main guilds who were competing for top content and the server really never recovered after that.

Sry for wall of text

Say what?

First you say it isn't nihilum, its the players who leave to join them. Then you say, R99 is a dead server cause nihilum's leadership keeps recruiting. Seems contradictory, and leads me to ask, why do the players keep leaving for Nihilum? Seems like that is a bigger problem then Nihilum's recruitment.

I'm not going to argue with random scrub who showed up here 4 months ago and is swinging from nihilums ballsack since day 1

I've been here long enough to know what the fuck is going on and recruiting when you field 40 per raid on a server that mearly pushes 100 is retarded.

No variance allows you to keep content locked down for times that are good for Nihilum.

FFA Allows you to absorb members of the guilds that come to realise this, the newer examples of these are Muhh/Qazzazz/Sektor/ Force people etc.

I simply say it would help foster more guilds showing up if you didn't have to have every single dragon, when you really don't even need them. EQ is a fun hobby, but when it's taken to the no life situation that we have here, people are farming the box with under 100 people.

With no variance, and FFA - it really requires Nihilum (By Nihilum I mean Tune/deka/Nizzar/Batlle) to get bored for another crew to rise up, or several.

This will never happen, because people take this very seriously, for no apparent reason - it keeps the population low, most people from these guilds will join Nihilum and get what they want and then just stop logging in.

Ezpk will do the same, the force guys will do the same - but the fact that Nizzar will just keep teaching new people/carrying people with the advantage he has set up things probably won't change and will stay stagnant.

All you people thinking breaking newer guilds/recruiting the left overs and rebuilding over and over is insane, and it chases most people away from the box.

I wish the rule set would be altered not to allow Nizzar to do this, but I'm equally fucking mind blown that he agrees to do it, it's fucking awful to do, but here's to hoping he might get bored, or a job someday, or GM's put in variance/teams box, and people can have fun?

I think legit people left to corruption and lack of pvp fixes.
